Someone That Wasn't Me

Someone that wasn't me
has been spending my money again,
remortgaged the house
for some hairbrained scheme.
Someone that wasn't me
got claustrophobia on the underground
and created a scene.
Someone that wasn't me
has been saying bad things to your mother.
Well, maybe that was me.

Someone that wasn't me
phoned all the newspapers at one a.m.,
arranged secret passwords
only they and I know.
Someone that wasn't me
has filled my homepage
with disappointment and outrage.
Someone spent hours on my mobile phone,
anxious and seemingly alone.
Well maybe that was me.
