London:
unromantic, uninspiring, understated.
No-one ever wrote a song,
Oh, "New York, New York" or "Paris in the Spring"
but London?
"London's Foggy Streets"
Autumn London:
There are places in the world
where they long for autumn's leaves
but not in London.
Clouded London's empty caf's and crowded bars,
if rain should choose to fall it falls in London.
Its tragedy's no more than any major city,
its great were never specially greater.
This bottle's nearly finished,
call the waiter.
